Crow fledgling rehab advice request! This picture, Crow fledgling rehab advice request!
This picture, for the benefit of the algorithm, is of Norman and Nancy’s two fledglings. They are fine!
The question comes from someone who contacted me in Macedonia, from a small town with no bird rescue society.
She has a baby crow on her deck, who can’t seem to fly or walk well. She got antibiotics from a vet, but it’s been four days and the fledgling is taking food and living on her apartment deck.
She has asked me for advice, but I have no experience or knowledge in this area.
If anyone reading this does have crow rehab experience, what would you suggest?

Thanks so much for the lovely birthday greetings! Thanks so much for the lovely birthday greetings! It’s always fun going through old photos, but a bit terrifying when you realize that your childhood photos look like museum displays.
My birthday was really lovely, with all the special greetings, fun daytime outings and dinner at the local fish and chip shop!
My special gift from the crows was Norman and Nancy bringing the new fledglings to our deck. The photo is a bit blurry, taken through the rather dirty window to avoid scaring them away. Getting the Windex out today!
Thanks again for all the good wishes — so appreciated! ❤️

Really, it’s only the laundry that hasn’t held my interest! 🤣 I note that I was feeding what looks like a Canada Goose in one of those pictures — having no idea back then that I’d be Canadian too!
Finally, after four years of trying, Norman and Na Finally, after four years of trying, Norman and Nancy have fledglings! Two of them, looking very healthy and already able to fly quite well. Norm and Nancy have used everything they learned over the previous years of loss, keeping this precious pair very much under wraps until they’re able to get around. They are very quiet fledglings — few calls to give away their location. I first caught a glimpse of one fledging on the weekend, and I’ve been watching out for the elusive babies since then. Today I saw both of them on a branch, with an exhausted-looking Norman. #citycrowstories #normanandnancycrows #fledglings

Of course, the eagles are parents too, looking to feed their babies — but it’s stressful when you know the crows up there, taking such big risks. This, I believe, was Norman and Nancy, trying to move the eagle on from where they have at least one fledgling hidden away. A successful mission, this time. 😳 #citycrowstories #normanandnancycrows #nestingseason #baldeagle
